On May 12–13, representatives from 25 countries will gather at The Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov for the Para Judo tournament.

Previously, the capital hosted the IBSA JUDO GRAND PRIX ASTANA in 2024, where the Kazakhstan national team finished first in the overall standings.
