The DDT group is going on a concert tour, and this is a special event for her, as she is returning to the concert arena after more than a year's break. There will be few concerts, but special attention is paid to Kazakhstan - a large electric concert of the cult Russian group DDT in Astana will become one of the main musical events of this winter. Not only the most famous compositions from all albums since the founding of the group will be performed from the stage, but also completely new and relevant songs from the 2023 release “Wolves in the shooting range”
Yuri Shevchuk has always occupied a special niche in Russian rock and in Russian music in general. His work touched the soul and united more than one generation. And the entire Russian rock as a phenomenon, born in Soviet censorship and total prohibitions and strengthened at the turning point of the late 80s and early 90s, cannot be imagined without the group DDT. From the songs of the group and the bright performances of its leader, one can study the history of modern Russia in its cruel turns; his songs are not just music, they are a real reflection of the time, history and soul of the country. But no matter what happened in reality, Shevchuk’s songs always contained two important things: truth and hope. Perhaps this explains its phenomenal popularity over the decades.
DDT performances are always a sign of the quality of live music. The long-awaited concert in Astana will be an opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of sincere and powerful music, accompanied by a grandiose visual show.
February 18, Astana, Martial Arts Palace named after Zh. Ushkempirov.
