From March 11 to 14 in the capital at the Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov hosted an international Greco-Roman wrestling tournament among wrestlers under 20 years old, dedicated to the memory of the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, Olympic champion, World champion, Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov.

Zh. Ushkempirov’s assistant Baimukhanov Samat Aimukhanbetovich shared in an interview about the level and specifics of the tournament. He also added that there is confidence that in the future the tournament will be held at an even higher level.
