From June 16 to June 18 this year. In the city of Astana (Kazakhstan) in the Martial Arts Palace named after Zh. Ushkempirov, the World Championship in hand-to-hand combat will be held, organized by the “All-Kazakhstan Association of Hand-to-Hand Combat” with the support of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the city of Astana and the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Athletes from 28 countries entered the World Championship (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Ghana, Germany, India, Jordan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, China, Colombia, Italy, Spain, Peru, USA , Senegal, Thailand, Czech Republic, Poland, Moldova, Mongolia, Kazakhstan). In total, about 300 participants are expected at the Championship.

The championship will be held in two disciplines: “Duel” (8 men’s, 6 women’s and 2 absolute weight categories) and “Self-Defense” (11 men’s, 5 women’s weight categories).
