The “Qazaqstan Barysy – 2025” tournament took place at the Palace of Martial Arts named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov

The Palace of Martial Arts named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov hosted one of the main events in Kazakh wrestling — the 14th Republican Tournament “Qazaqstan Barysy – 2025.”

This year, 43 wrestlers from across the country competed on the mat, showcasing their strength and skill while representing their regions.

As a result, Marat Baikamurov from Shymkent became the champion of this year’s tournament and the holder of the Golden Belt. The undefeated wrestler also received the Golden “Taytuyak” trophy and a cash prize of 15 million tenge. The Silver Belt and a certificate worth 3.3 million tenge went to last year’s winner, Yerasyl Kazhybayev from Abay region. The Bronze Belt and a prize of 1.08 million tenge were awarded to Nurdaulet Zharylgapov from Mangystau region.

The award ceremony was attended by the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerbol Myrzabossynov; Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Qazaqstan Barysy” Foundation, Kuanishbek Yesekeyev; First Vice President of the “Qazaq Kuresi” Association, Yerkin Okasov; and honored coach and veteran of Kazakh wrestling, Marat Zhakyt, who presented the awards to the winners.
