Astana Hosts the World Deaf Futsal Championship for Athletes with Hearing Disabilities under the Age of 21 for the First Time

From June 1 to 10, 2024 the Z. Ushkempirov Palace of Martial Arts in Astana is hosting the Deaf Futsal Championship for athletes with hearing disabilities under the age of 21 for the first time.

The official opening ceremony of the first match of the national team has taken place today.

Teams from Kazakhstan, Brazil, Ukraine, Oman, Iran, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and Uzbekistan will take part in the tournament and try their luck.

This year, more than 200 athletes from 10 member countries of DIFA (Deaf International Football Association) and the Deaf International Football Federation are taking part in the championship.

The U-21 World Futsal Championship is organized by the Deaf International Football Association (DIFA) and the Kazakhstan National Deaf Football and Futsal Federation with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture, the International Committee for the Deaf Sports, the Sports Support Fund and the Astana Akimat.

The championship will last until June 10.
