The opening ceremony of the fifth inclusive sports festival «CHILDREN PARALYMPIC GAMES 2024» took place today in Astana. The event was attended by Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Serik Zharaspayev, who wished success to the young athletes.

More than 400 children and young people with special needs from 23 cities of Kazakhstan will take part in the Paralympic Games among children.

The purpose of the festival is social rehabilitation, that is, increasing the competitiveness of children and youth with disabilities through adapted sports, strengthening an active lifestyle.

The sporting event will take place on June 13-15 at the Martial Arts Palace named after Zh. Ushkempirov.
