On January 11, 2025, the opening ceremony of the Republican tournament "Dala Qyrandary," organized by the "Qazaq Kuresi" Association, was held at the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the President of the "Qazaq Kuresi" Association, Yerol Myrzabosynov, as well as the General Director of the "Qazaq Kuresi" Association, Damir Bekbosynov.

During the tournament, Kazakhstani athletes faced off on the mat against representatives of Russian MMA, competing under the rules of Kazakh wrestling.

Among the participants, Kazakhstani athletes Ruslan Abdrazakov, Sayat Shamshiyev, and Vasily Takhtay competed on the mat against Russian MMA fighters Islam Jangorazov, Daniyal Elbayev, and Farid Yadullaev.

It is worth noting that throughout the year, 64 wrestlers with the highest points earned in 5 ranking tournaments qualify for the event.
