On May 29, 2024, the first-year students from Y. Buketov Karaganda University visited the Headquarters for the preparation for the Olympic Games in Astana. Yelsiyar Kanagatov, the Head of the Headquarters, and Akhmetsharip Dias, the PR and Media Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, informed the guests in detail of the preparation of our team for the main games of the quadrennium and answered all questions. In particular, the students asked about the Olympic Village in Paris, the opening ceremony of the Games and security issues during the Games. They were particularly interested in the readiness of our national team. In return, they expressed their full support for our Olympians and wished them a successful participation.

During the visit, the students also had a tour around the Z. Ushkempirov Palace of Martial Arts. This modern sports complex named after the famous Kazakh wrestler Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov is a center for the development of various martial arts, the training of top athletes and the holding of various events.
