«HOLY LAND»: FAMOUS WRESTLERS PARTICIPATE IN ECOLOGICAL ACTION

A large-scale environmental campaign «Clean Kazakhstan: Astana is an example of cleanliness and order» is taking place in the capital. Today, freestyle wrestling masters of the city of Astana contributed to the environmental campaign, which started under the slogan «Holy Land».

The monument to Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov, the first Kazakh Olympic champion, World Champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, two-time champion of the Soviet Union, as well as the adjacent territory of the monument, were cleaned.

This event was attended by the World Champion among veterans in freestyle wrestling, silver medalist of the World and Asian Championships Nurlan Bekzhanov, the first world champion in freestyle wrestling Rizabek Aitmukhan and bronze medalist of the World U20 Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling, winner of the republican tournament Maksat Sailau.

Rizabek Aitmukhan, the first world champion in freestyle wrestling, a resident of the capital, said that he supports this environmental action aimed at creating good relations with nature and improving the sanitary conditions of the city.

Thanks to the “Holy Land” campaign, more than 40 monuments have been cleaned since the beginning of the week. There are 117 monuments in the capital, 46 of which are under state protection. It should be noted that a large-scale environmental campaign continues in Astana. It will last five weeks, each of which is devoted to a specific topic. This week is called "Holy Land".
