From June 1 to June 4, 2023 at the Martial Arts Palace named after Zh.Ushkempirov hosts the national championship in Paralympic bocce as part of the republican action “for the benefit of children” dedicated to International Children’s Day.

The award ceremony for the first winners of the competition took place today.

It was attended by the President of the Boccia Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbaev, Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Oralov, world weightlifting champion Ilya Ilyin and world boxing champion Merey Akshalov.

In total, more than 400 children and adults with disabilities gathered for the national bocce championship. 47 of them took part in the tournament and competed. The winners of the championship will be accepted into the national team and will represent the country in international competitions such as the Challenge, Paralympic Games, Asian Paralympic Games.
