At the grand opening of the competition, Atlanta champion in Greco-Roman wrestling Yuri Melnichenko, deputy head of the Department of Physical Education and Sport of Astana Erkegali Korbozov, state coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan in freestyle and women's wrestling Dastan Kanatkanov and vice-president of the Greco-Roman Federation came to support the young wrestlers , freestyle and women's wrestling of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Zhabasov.
According to the organizers, one of the distinctive features of this year was that, despite the fact that the tournament was held at the republican level, young athletes had the opportunity to participate without any selection.
In order to develop and popularize freestyle wrestling throughout the country, improve sportsmanship and identify the strongest athletes in regions and cities of republican significance, the tournament will determine winners and prize-winners among children born in 2012-2014 and juniors born in 2009-2011.
