From June 16 to 18, 2023, the World Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship was held at the Martial Arts Palace named after Zh. Ushkempirov, organized by the “All-Kazakhstan Association of Hand-to-Hand Combat” with the support of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the city of Astana and the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic Kazakhstan.
Athletes from 28 countries entered the World Championship (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Ghana, Germany, India, Jordan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, China, Colombia, Italy, Spain, Peru, USA , Senegal, Thailand, Czech Republic, Poland, Moldova, Mongolia, Kazakhstan). In total, about 300 participants competed for victory at the Championship.
On June 18, the final day featured the grand opening of the competition and the final fights in 10 weight categories.
There were bright and intense fights, from which the strongest emerged!
