The Asian Para-Volleyball Championship has ended

Today at the Martial Arts Palace named after Zh. Ushkempirov, the Asian Championship in sitting volleyball (pair volleyball) ended. In the competition among men's teams, Iran took first place, Kazakhstan took second, and the Chinese team took third.

Among the women's national teams, the Chinese team won the gold medal of the championship, the Iranian team won the silver medal, and Japan won the bronze medal.

"The Asian Volleyball Championship in honor of the 25th anniversary of the capital has ended. The competitions were held at a high level with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Astana Sports Department, the Sports Fund and Samruk-Kazyna JSC. This year in the Asian Championship Para-volleyball, which was held for the first time in the country, was attended by about 200 athletes from 8 countries,” said Batyr Kadyrbaevich, Secretary General of the Kazakhstan Para-Volleyball Federation.

It should be noted that the Asian Para-volleyball Championship was held from July 3 to 8 in Astana. Based on the results of the competition, the Kazakhstan national team among men's teams and Chinese athletes among women's teams won a ticket to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. In addition, the best striker of the championship was the Kazakh athlete Erik Kaskabaev, and the best coordinator was Bauyrzhan Sartaev.
